Daily Red
Everyone gets the same six level 100 Pokémon today. One official battle against Red on Mt. Silver. A new team unlocks at your local midnight.
Six random level 100 Pokémon from Generations 1–3, generated from today's date: the same six for every player. Pick who leads before you battle.
Loading today's six…
Who hits each of Red's Pokémon hardest, and how hard Red hits back.
Red's team never changes: Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all level 100 with fixed Gen 3 sets. He always leads with Pikachu. He has nothing to say.
At midnight in your time zone a new team of six level 100 Pokémon from Generations 1–3 unlocks. Every player gets the same six.
Each turn, pick a move or switch Pokémon, just like a Game Boy Advance battle. Red's team and tactics stay the same every day.
You get one official battle a day. If you leave mid-battle it waits for you. Win or lose, copy your result and keep your streak going.
Red is tough. Here is how to give any team its best shot.
Red always opens with Pikachu (Thunder, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Quick Attack). A Ground type takes no damage from its Electric moves.
Fire and Flying are both weak to Rock, so Rock Slide does four times the damage. Electric and Water moves also work.
It has huge HP and Special Defense but much lower Defense, plus Thick Fat halves Fire and Ice. Fighting moves are super effective.
It is fast and hits hard with Psychic, and boosts with Calm Mind, so pressure it early.
Switching costs your turn, but it can keep a key attacker alive for later. Check the matchups above for today's best answers.
Each move shows Super effective, Normal damage, Not very effective or No effect, plus its estimated damage as a percent of the target's HP.
